It is industry standard tolex. Most averages around 1/32" thick, depending on the texture. If you're planning a build and wondering how much space to leave, as with all parts for all builds, it's always best to take your measurements using the actual part in hand (due to manufacturing tolerances). In general, most leave a hair over 1/16" per layer of tolex. That's just over 1/8" per side. For an example, that would mean cutting a back panel roughly 1/4"-5/16" smaller than the space it needs to fill. The key is that you WANT a little wiggle room. If you make a panel with a tight fit, it will be an unnecessary struggle to remove the panel at a future date for servicing (possibly even doing damage to get it open again).
