There is a nut & washer that secures it into place (from the outside), keeping it nice, tight, and secure. The strap holding portion screws onto the exposed threads of the already secured jack.

Does this mean that the strap hook portion is screwed onto the barrel after it has been inserted through the side from inside the body cavity?
