You should expect some voltage increase, possibly more if replacing 5U4 or 5Y3. Test for the specific amount, and adjust circuit as necessary.
Diodes will usually raise an amp's voltage by at least 30v (vs tube rectifier) so be sure to have fesh capacitors. Solid State Rectifier - For 5AR4, 5U4, 5Y3 Tubes
Does this device have specific circuitry to prevent a voltage rise, or should I expect a 30+ volts increase? Thx
