Is the 1/2W power rating safe for a gain or volume control in a 5W tube head?

These are used on many amplifiers for all controls. Most of the pots used in amps are rated for 1/4W-1/2W. Unless your amp has a unique circuit passing power through the pot for some strange reason, these should work fine.
