RWRP = Reverse Wound (reverse winding direction + to -); Reverse Polarity (magnetic polarity). When you're using two pickups, and one is RWRP to the other, it gives a full bodied hum cancelling sound. If they are the same direction/polarity, it sill sound the same, but won't be hum cancelling. If the second pickup is reverse wound, but the magnetic polarity is the same, they will be hum cancelling, but will also be of phase and will have a thin/nasally sound. If the second pickup is reverse polarity, but the the same winding direction, they will be thin/nasally sounding and won't be hum cancelling. P90's rarely come with a RWRP option. Most are all wound the same direction.
If you purchase two of the same P90 pickups, and you want one of them to be RWRP. You'd need to reverse the wiring to reverse the winding direction, which is easy enough. But, to reverse the polarity, you need to disassemble the pickup and reverse the magnets. That takes some effort/skill to do correctly, and we recommend seeking the assistance of a professional tech to do so.
