It is the same model. The difference is that Ruby Tubes pre-tests/pre-sorts/discards less than ideal tubes, burns in the remaining good ones, then re-tests/re-sorts again to remove the remaining less than ideal tubes, leaving only the best of the best stock that is pre-burned in. If you just buy standard JJ tubes, they haven't gone through nearly the same quality assurance process, are not burned in for you, and they'll have a very limited warranty. That's why Ruby Tubes offers a 6 month warranty, which is much longer than the standard manufacturer's warranty for most tube brands.
