It is the same model. The difference is that Ruby Tubes pre-tests/pre-sorts/discards less than ideal tubes, burns in the remaining good ones, then re-tests/re-sorts again to remove the remaining less than ideal tubes, leaving only the best of the best stock that is pre-burned in. If you just buy standard JJ tubes, they haven't gone through nearly the same quality assurance process, are not burned in for you, and they'll have a very limited warranty. That's why Ruby Tubes offers a 6 month warranty, which is much longer than the standard manufacturer's warranty for most tube brands. They are extremely confident you'll be getting only the best of the best stock, and back it up with that warranty.
