The GE1996T is a direct replacement for an Original Floyd Rose unit. However, there have been many different Floyd Rose units and licensed units used throughout the years that may have different measurements. As when doing any replacements/upgardes, always check measurements carefully prior to ordering to confirm the product will work for your needs.
