It is industry standard tolex. Most averages around 1/32" thick, depending on the texture. If you're planning a build and wondering how much space to leave, it's generally best practice to leave approximately 1/16" per layer of tolex. That's 1/8" per side. For an example, that would mean cutting a back panel 1/4" smaller than the space it needs to fill. Some even consider that too tight for comfort and give it an extra mm or so beyond that, just for ease of installation and removal. The key is that you WANT wiggle room, as tolex will stick to itself over time. If you make a panel with a tight fit, it will be an unnecessary struggle to remove the panel at a future date for servicing (possibly even doing damage to get it open again).
