From the specs we can find of the FR special, it should be a drop-in replacement. However, you'll want to double check the measurements against your needs to be certain. We can't confirm that all FR Specials over all production years have had the same measurements. In general, it is always best to compare and confirm all necessary measurements when replacing any parts, regardless what they claim to replace.
