Switchcraft 226, 1/4” right angle mono plug
Switchcraft #226 - 1/4" Mono Right Angle Plug
The terminal for the tip inside is on an angle, with an insulator next to it. Does one solder ‘over’ and through the hole, like most plugs, or ‘under’ and through? Hard to tell, but it seems difficult to go the typical direction. Thanks!

That is the standard terminal setup for this style of plug. There is no officially "correct" way to do it. We prefer to go under and through. Some may do the opposite. The "correct" way is whichever way gets you a reliable solder joint while avoiding shorts, given your skillset and working preferences.
