The scale length of the guitar and the nut have nothing to do with one another. So, provided the nut has the specs you want/need, the nut would work regardless of the scale length of the instrument.

I slotted my fretboard for a 24.75" Gibson and mistakingly I slotted my nut slot for Gibson.
