You may have noticed when you turn the volume pot down on your guitar that your tone gets a little darker. That's because volume pots reduce the volume of different frequencies at different rates. Installing a treble bleed helps your guitar retain high end as your volume is turned down. It's great if you use your volume knob to control your gain. It doesn't affect the tone at all when the volume is all the way up.
