the schematic asks for a 2.2kL pot (presence). Will the small "vimi"pot do the trick?

It depends entirely on the schematic and how close you want it to sound like the original. If it calls for a 2.2KL pot, the closest equivalent we offer is 2KL (B2K). You will experience a very slight change in the tone when the pot is at max. You'll also need to double check the you can mount this type of pot in the equipment you're putting it in. The bushing diameter, length, and terminal type might all be different.
